n this Young Scholars webinar, students will learn practical internet safety best practices they can use in their everyday lives. From protecting personal information and creating strong passwords to recognizing suspicious links and thinking carefully before posting, this session will help students become more confident and responsible online.

We’ll also discuss cyberbullying, respectful online communication, and why the choices students make online can have a lasting impact. Students will leave with simple, actionable strategies to help protect themselves, their accounts, and their digital reputation.

Learn what information should remain private online and why it’s important to be thoughtful about what you share and with whom.

Discover simple password best practices that can help protect your accounts from unauthorized access.

Understand how posts, comments, and other online activity can affect your digital reputation and future opportunities.

Learn why you should be cautious with unfamiliar links, downloads, email attachments, and messages from unknown senders.

Learn what to do if you experience or witness cyberbullying and when to reach out to a trusted adult or report inappropriate behavior.

Explore how to communicate respectfully online and make thoughtful choices when interacting through emails, chats, comments, and other digital spaces.

Sofia Chambers

NSHSS Ambassador Vice President | Meeting Host

Sofia serves as the NSHSS Ambassador Vice President for the 2026–2027 Ambassador Council. As a student leader, she supports Ambassador engagement, helps represent the Ambassador community, and contributes to the continued growth of student-led initiatives within the program. Sofia has also been involved in creative student projects as the co-producer of Star Dust Animation, a student-led animation studio, where she has helped develop original creative work alongside fellow NSHSS members. In her role as Ambassador Vice President, Sofia brings a thoughtful, collaborative, and creative perspective to supporting student leadership and community-building within NSHSS.

Priscilla Keith

NSHSS Ambassador Slack Engagement Committee Lead | Meeting Speaker

Priscilla is a high school Junior at Tulsa School of Arts and Sciences in Oklahoma. They are active in their Student Government and plan to be the Student Council President. They are starting their own passion project, which will be an inclusive magazine called Mosaic Voices. 

They enjoy all forms of art and are currently taking musical theater and digital photography. Priscilla wishes to attend Brown University to major in Creative Writing and minor in Philosophy.

Adaliz Ramirez

NSHSS Ambassador President | Meeting Speaker

Adaliz is a Senior at Pepin Academies in Pasco campus, FL. Adalis is also a graphic designer, author, tutor, and passionate student rights advocate—with hobbies ranging from painting, sketching, and sewing to piano, gardening, clay sculpting, and filmmaking.
